Greetings From River House

 

I'm writing this to you from my new home, River House at Foxtail Bend. It's open to the public and I hope you'll come for a visit.

Located on the continent of Sansara's Mallard Region, River House occupies 12,240 sq. meters of land on a bend in the river connecting the Mare Secundus (north) to the Sea of Fables (south). I built this as a majestic old-growth forest, you’ll find plenty of magic and mystery sprinkled about.

For optimal viewing, please set your viewer's draw distance to 200 meters with an LOD of 4.0.

The views from the house are spectacular.

Please pardon the raccoons and foxes that wander in from the forest. It's their home too.

There are 2 Public Boat Rez areas-

There's also a Visitor Information area with a friendly Forest Ranger who will tell you some secrets about the area. And again … more raccoons …

Those familiar with my past builds may recognize the Dive Bar Coffee Shop. Last night I hosted the Coffee Sluts of SL - over 20 people showed-up and I kept running out of chairs.
It was great to have them visit.

The Buddha Cave and Enchanted Glen are two of my favorite spots.

I've tucked away some special seating areas for contemplation, and assorted wildlife roams the grounds.

Environmental sounds are used throughout the parcel.

The parcel windlight is set to Annan Adored Realistic Ambient, but you can choose whichever windlight suits you in your own viewer. Tip: Midnight is particularly magical at the Enchanted Glen.

Just like a real forest, there are very few trails here. Curiosity and exploring are encouraged.
