Most SL folks, other than those I first met in 2011, don't know I started in Second Life as a filmmaker.  I had been working with a team of animators on the Annual 48 Hour Film project , using a software called, iCone from Reallusion, and every year we lost the competition in the machinima category to the Second Life team. This was the first time I'd heard of Second Life. At that time I'd been co-hosting an internet radio show all about Machinima, and out of curiosity to find out how and why we kept losing to the Second Life team, I reached out to one of the SL crew members and invited her on the show for an interview. The interview never happened, but instead she invited me to join Second Life and offered to give me a tour. Within the first 10 minutes of that tour I was hooked.
