My Life in Another World
I suspect people assume that Second Life is the only online platform I belong to. But Tripp Foxtail belongs to other worlds besides SL. I am very glad he does. Recently in SL, I've experienced a few exchanges with others that can best be described as, "toxic". There is so much anger and aggression among people on that platform. So much of the Real World's political ugliness seems to have leaked in, along with heaps of narcissism and misinformation, all combined and baked into personal hate campaigns. It's sad and painful to see a place I once considered my online home devolve into this abysmal state. It's very much like what's happening in Real Life, in that regard. In a very real sense it has broken my heart. This is why I've opted to remove myself from SL for the time being. If and when I do return to SL, it will be strictly to build and explore.
