Shareta Osumai Info Hub
~ Shareta Osumai ~
A glorious explosion of color and charm is the best way for me to describe this find. Pristine and lost to the passage of time. Hundreds of empty buildings stand amongst an artful landscape.
According to Google Translate … it is a Japanese phrase, 洒落てあ オスm 愛 (Sharete a osu m ai) which means "Stylish male love."
Oooooh la la!
Landing at The Shareta Osumai Infohub You'll discover a book dispenser for "Your Linden Home v1.0" - Although titled as a book about homes, I found it to be more of story about young love in a virtual world. Where a couple who've just met, desire to create a "private space" so they can be alone. Pretty racy stuff …
"A REAL man customizes everything!"
Leaving the Info Hub, a cascading path of steps which gently meander down the mountain, will take you through a series of public buildings, each with their own special offerings, of parasols, fans, crickets in cages, and masks.
if you can afford the bandwidth, crank your draw distance up as far as you can - the views here are spectacular, overflowing with colorful detail and texture.
Once you reach the valley floor there are many sights and sounds to enjoy. Birds are singing in the trees, while exotic ducks glide on the serene river that snakes it's way though the landscape, crisscrossed by charming arc bridges.
Nacera is also home to The Meadowbrook Info Hub which I covered in a past article entitled, 'The Forgotten Welcome Area Info Hubs.'
There are still many other unexplored areas on the unnamed continent that I will be covering in the future. So, I hope you'll join me as I peer into the mysterious past of Second Life.
Speaking of which - The Second Life Adventure Repository Bureau of Vacated Lands and Abandoned Artifacts has opened it's doors in my newest build, Travelers Square. (Right around the corner from The Station. Part museum, part library, part cabinet of curiosities, The Repository will hold the objects my partner and I collect during our explorations and expeditions as we search for Second Life's lesser known and forgotten places.
The Square, still under development, is home to the Elsewhere Blog's office, Dept. of Transportation Building (in world stores), a lovely social courtyard, and much more coming soon.
Until next time … stay curious and enjoy your travels!
