Meauxle Bureaux

Leaving off where we were in the previous post - Northeast of Glorieux you'll find a very interesting region named, 'Meauxle Bureaux.' (loosely translates into Mole Offices)  It appears to be a quaint village made-up of the private residences of some Linden Lab Moles.

I fiercely guard my own privacy in SL, so I was feeling uneasy about exploring this area, as I know how important having private spaces can be.

If you are unfamiliar with Moles and the Linden Department of Public works you can learn more about them here.

I docked my boat at the Mole Bay Docks and proceeded on foot into the citadel.

Inside I found various homes and quaint little pub owned by none other than Abnor Mole.

There is also a large harbor located on the northern side of Meauxle Bureaux. Various boats were docked there and it appears to be guarded by a hissing sea monster who I named, "Hissy Pissy," because it seemed apt.

Continuing my voyage in an easterly direction, I arrived at Formidable and it's  Crescent Island-

What came into view next was a large structure. Was it a palace? Was it a castle? I am still not sure. From what I could tell, it was mostly built by Silent Mole.

I docked my boat at the Formidable rez zone and went inside to explore. I found some interesting objects, like a mysterious collection of skulls above the doorway. Who's skulls were they? Had they also happened upon this island as I had?

There's a throne room and the Throne's description is "A Small Throne for a Big Ego."

I discovered hidden objects of art and some pottery with a painted image that resembled Phillip Linden.

There was also a strange, glowing green eyed hippo made of lava (?), wallowing in a pit of coins. Which made me think that whatever these Moles were smoking, I wanted some too.

Saying Goodbye to the many mysteries of Formidable, I made my way northeast to the Island of Impetueux. A deserted island with one empty ramshackle shelter … perhaps this is where the people who belonged to those skulls perished?

All in all, this was certainly an excursion worth remembering. The next installment will take us back to another of the long lost info hubs I recently stumbled upon.

Until next time … stay curious and enjoy your travels.
